- The Candidate will be involved in all activities in the General Accounting Section and manage month end closes and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Coding as per accounting policies and procedures (allocation of the cost) and Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries.
- Using & Supervising ERP system
- Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances (Monthly Closing).
- Enter, review and upload AFE into system (Ideas System)
- Flag and clarify any unusual or questionable invoice items or prices
- Review, verify invoices and Paying vendors by monitoring discount opportunities according to scheduling pay checks or transfer and ensuring payment is received for outstanding credit & continuing to improve the payment process.
- Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling periodically statements and comparing system reports to balances.
- Responsible for and managing month end close processes.
- Preparing analyses of accounts and ensure all costs are allocated correctly & producing monthly reports.
- Support audit requirements both internal and external by providing required information to auditors and providing assistance to the audit team as and when required during the audit
- Material accounting, costing & analyzing
- Supervising junior accountants for day-to-day activities.
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting
Successfully accomplished one part of CMA or CA
Minimum of 5 -7 years of experience
Experience in the Oil & Gas industry is preferred
Fluency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
