MBC is Hiring! Scheduling and Planning Executive
Major Job Responsibilities & Duties:
Work closely with marketing, promotion, Continuity, ads, Traffic, and Transmission team.
Work in broadcast management systems such as Whats-on or any similar systems.
Plan and schedule broadcasts.
Create short- and long-term broadcast schedules with rights verification and implementation of MBC’s business rules.
Manage broadcast time and deliver broadcast schedule on deadlines
Liaise with the Presentation production teams by clearly communicating the weekly in-vision link requirements.
Work closely with the Producers to ensure that the correct amount of link time has been allocated and produce layouts of timings. then update the schedule with the finalized link durations that have been recorded.
Work with Media Planning to ensure effective trail output and negotiate any changes necessary.
Requirements:
An understanding of the transmission, planning, and schedule process, including an appreciation of the role and requirements of colleagues in Production, Marketing/Media Planning.
IT skills, the experience in word processing and spreadsheets, with previous experience with relevant television scheduling systems.
Good knowledge of the Whats-on system is preferable.
Able to manage a varied and demanding workload with strong planning and organization skills to ensure deadlines are achieved and issues identified and resolved.
