Job Description
The Social Media Specialist is responsible for managing and growing the universitys social media presence across various platforms. This includes developing and implementing a social media strategy, creating and scheduling social media content, engaging with followers, and analyzing the effectiveness of social media efforts. The specialist will also be responsible for staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in social media marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a social media strategy to promote the university and its programs
- Create and schedule social media content, including text, images, and videos
- Engage with followers and respond to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner
- Analyze the effectiveness of social media efforts and adjust strategies as needed
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in social media marketing
- Collaborate with the marketing team and other departments as needed
Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience managing social media accounts for a business or organization
- Familiarity with social media analytics tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to brand guidelines
- Experience in higher education marketing is preferred, but not required
