Job Description
- Manage all accounting transactions.
- Handles AP/AR
- Prepare budget forecasts.
- Publish financial statements on time.
- Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
- Ensure timely bank payments.
- Compute taxes and prepare tax returns.
- Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
- Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
- Audit financial transactions and documents
- Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary.
- Comply with financial policies and regulations.
- Prepare all necessary daily restrictions on the general accounts and monthly financial settlements (letters of guarantee, rents, salaries, telephones ……..)
- Follow-up checks under collection in banks, with the preparation of daily restrictions necessary to settle the program.
- Follow up the movements of banks.
- Follow up the movement of fixed assets (adding a fixed asset or excluding it) with the preparation of daily restrictions and follow-up of its own record Monthly closures and related clarifications.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliation note.
- Prepare the statement of initial and final letters of guarantee, indicating the letters issued and returned during the month.
- Expenditures due and expenses paid in advance.
- Statement of checks received by banks and checks under collection.
- Making entries of the movement of receipts and payments (cash and cheques) in the accounting system and matching the receipts and payments.
- Preparing the required monthly reports, fixed assets register and cash insurance reports “primary and final”.
Job Requirements
- BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree.
- years of experience from 3 to 4, in a general accounting role .
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience with GL functions.
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
- Previous experience in AR, AP, and Warehouses.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks.
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
- Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus.
