Capital Placement is seeking a Customer Experience Associate to assist candidates with inquiries, manage communication channels, and provide guidance on internship programs. Key responsibilities include understanding candidates’ needs, updating internal databases, interviewing applicants, and collaborating with other teams. The ideal candidate should have excellent English communication skills, experience in customer support, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Description

We created Capital Placement over 10 years ago as a platform to simplify international internships for university students and recent graduates looking for global work experience. Today, we provide our customers with opportunities to intern in some of the most exciting cities in the world, including but not limited to, London, New York and Singapore.

Role Responsibilities

  • Monitor communication channels consistently to assist candidates with their inquiries
  • Handle large volumes of candidates simultaneously and be able to respond promptly via phone, email or chat
  • Ensuring all candidates have a full understanding of the application process and program offerings while managing their expectations
  • Being up-to-date with key employability and industry trends across all of our program locations to best advise candidates
  • Understand candidate’s expectations and recommend the right internship programs that suit their career aspirations
  • Update our internal databases with information about issues and useful discussions with customers
  • Update customer data trackers, analyse and share trends with recruitment, placement and marketing teams
  • Interview internship program applicants and determine if they are the right fit
  • Assist with fine-tuning the CVs of successful candidates and ensure a smooth transition from recruitment to the placement stage
  • Support other team members when necessary

Requirements

  • Ability to handle diverse/international customers
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Prior experience in a customer support role would be preferential
  • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Multi-tasking abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work UK hours (2 pm to 10 pm) Monday to Thursday and SL hours in Friday (9:30 am to 5:30 pm)
  • Extra brownie points if one of the following applies to you; prior experience in a similar role where you dealt directly with university students or recent graduates or, if you have lived and/or studied abroad

Interview process

  • Eligibility: Make sure you meet the requirements outlined in the job description.
  • Round 1: A 30-minute HR phone screening to assess your background and suitability for the role.
  • Round 2: A 45-90 minute interview with two team members evaluating your expertise and experience related to the Customer Experience Associate position.
  • Task Assessment: Complete a task relevant to the Customer Experience Associate role, showcasing your skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Cultural Fit Interview: A 45-90 minute conversation focused on cultural fit, value alignment, and team compatibility.
  • Final Round: An in-depth discussion with the Founders, centering on your vision, strategic thinking, and overall fit for the Customer Experience Associate role.
