Position: Junior IT Specialist
Location: Alexandria, Smouha
Schedule: Full-time, 6 days a week, 8 hours a day
What We’re Looking For:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or any relevant discipline.
2. 1-3 years of experience in the same role.
3. Networking Fundamentals: Understanding of networking principles including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, routing, and firewall configurations.
4. Knowledge of ADSL and Network Infrastructure: Understanding of ADSL technology, node system networks, and familiarity with network equipment such as routers, switches, and modems.
5. Server Management: Basic skills in server management, including installing, configuring, and maintaining server operating systems such as Linux for Proxmox and pfSense.
6. Virtualization: Familiarity with virtualization technology, particularly Proxmox, for managing virtual machines and containers.
7. Firewall and Security: Understanding of firewall concepts and experience with configuring firewall rules and security policies using pfSense to ensure network security.
8. Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to troubleshoot network issues, server errors, and connectivity problems effectively to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
9. Backup and Disaster Recovery: Knowledge of backup solutions and disaster recovery procedures to protect company data and ensure business continuity.
10. Monitoring and Maintenance: Experience with monitoring network performance, server health, and system logs, as well as performing routine maintenance tasks to keep systems updated and secure.
